Leadership professor selected to participate in SIG Grant

Nyasha M. GuramatunhuCooper, assistant professor of Leadership Studies, was selected to participate in the Strategic Internationalization Grant (SIG) Online Intercultural Education and Training for Study Abroad Engagement.

 

As part of the program, GuramatunhuCooper will build an online intercultural competence module to be used in post-experience reflections for study abroad programs. The module will be based on Shankman, Allen and Haber-Curran's (2015) Emotional Intelligent Leadership Model.

 

The Division of Global Affairs (DGA) awards grants to projects that advance the goals established by the Kennesaw State University Strategic Plan for Internationalization. 

Through targeted seed-funding, the DGA can promote innovative global engagement activities within one or more of the following thematic areas:

 

  • Global Learning

  • International Research

  • International Community Engagement

  • International Student Support

  • Transformative Campus Internationalization

 

Individual grant awards range in size from $2,500 to as much as $50,000.
