This month, Stephanie Foote, director of the Master of Science in First-Year Studies and Jean So, assistant director of Orientation and Transition Programs attended the 22nd National Conference on Students in Transition (SIT).

 

The two faculty members conducted a pre-conference workshop in Baltimore, MD titled, "Forgotten No More: Creating Opportunities for Transfer Students to Flourish at Your Institution." The session focused on helping participants identify and develop a plan of action that will provide opportunities for transfer students to flourish.

 

The workshop introduced best practices, as well as research and assessment findings to guide programs aimed at transfer student success.
