Dean Hoerrner shares college's direction for 2016 during town hall meeting

All University College faculty and staff were invited to join Dean Keisha Hoerrner for a town hall meeting Thursday, Nov. 5.
At the meeting, the dean answered questions ranging from junior faculty having development opportunities to help them with the P&T process, scholarship and bringing external funds (grants) into the college to what is being done to recruit and retain faculty of color, those with disabilities, veteran status and other diverse populations.
The dean listened to the faculty and staff concerns regarding the library construction that affects day to day operations and student instruction for the Department of Leadership and Integrative Studies. She also shared a few accomplishments and challenges that stand out since the transition from interim to the permanent dean.
Some faculty and staff met with the dean to have coffee in a more intimate setting during the “Coffee and Conversation with the Dean” Dec. 2. Chef Thor, of the Michael A. Leven School of Culinary Sustainability and his team of talented students, prepared espresso and served delicious coffee cakes during the event.
