Purcell appointed as associate editor for Dissertation reviews

Jennifer Purcell, assistant professor of Leadership Studies, has accepted the appointment of associate editor for Dissertation Overviews with the Journal of Higher Education Outreach and Engagement (JHEOE).
Purcell’s term will initially be two years, Sept. 1, 2015, through Aug. 31, 2017. In this role, she will direct and provide oversight to the solicitation, review, and publication of dissertation overviews for the journal. She will also perform the initial review of submissions for quality of content and suitability for the mission of the journal as well as provide oversight of the peer-review of the submissions, provide recommendations to the editor regarding publication of manuscripts, and editorial staff, conduct a final edit of manuscripts before publication, along with several other responsibilities.
The JHEOE is the premier peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary journal to advance theory and practice related to all forms of outreach and engagement between higher education institutions and communities.
