Foote shares her years of experience, research and knowledge

Stephanie Foote, associate professor of education and director of the Master of Science Program in First-Year Studies, will be busy sharing her expertise this summer.
Foote has been invited to deliver a keynote address at Jacksonville State University (JSU) in Jacksonville, Alabama. during the opening convocation of faculty and staff on Aug. 24 to kick off the university’s yearlong focus on “REAL Beginnings: Relevant, Engaging, Active Learning for the First-Time Student,” which is related to their Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP), “Fast Forward: Using 21st Century Tools to Promote Critical Thinking.”
Additionally, she has accepted an invitation to be a plenary speaker at the Annual Conference on the First-Year Experience in Orlando, Florida. Feb. 20-23, 2016. She will be discussing first-year seminars.
Foote also served as one of seven faculty at the Institute for Developing and Sustaining First-Year Seminars sponsored by the National Resource Center for The First-Year Experience and Students in Transition in Atlanta on July 24-26.
