Leadership courses offered in Montepulciano, Italy

Heather Scott, program director and assistant professor of Leadership Studies, announced an exciting opportunity for students to travel to Italy this summer with the Leadership Studies in Montepulciano program. Through this program, which will take place June 1-18.  students will travel to Rome, Montepulciano, and other locales to explore leadership in an Italian context.

The program consists of two classes (LDRS 3200: Leadership in a Global Society and CSH 4490: Culinary Leadership) and is an excellent way for students to earn course credit. Students interested in participating in this program are eligible for the KSU Education Abroad Scholarship as well as two additional scholarships that are available exclusively for this trip.

“The Leadership Studies program in Montepulciano provides a unique exposure to leadership in an Italian context from the perspective of a diverse array of global leaders. Students will have the opportunity to engage with leaders in their unique and dynamic settings, from meeting with vineyard owners who are continuing a family legacy of leadership in the wine industry to interviewing civic and community leaders. This immersion in global engagement promises to be a rich and rewarding experience that will allow students to fully immerse themselves in a deep and meaningful exploration of historical and modern day Italian leadership and culture,” said Scott.
