INTS major to participate in the Atlantis Project

Integrative Studies (INTS) major Charisse Allen will be participating in the Atlantis Project this summer. The project is geared towards those who are interested in Medicine, Nursing, and Public Health.

The INTS student notified Michael Keleher, director of Integrative Studies, of this exciting news. Allen received a summer internship to shadow doctors across different specialties.  Interns in this program also teach locals conversational English.

“Allen was selected from an applicant pool of thousands of American college students. She is very excited about her placement in Ourense, Spain, where she will spend the month of June 2016 immersing herself in a different culture and reaffirming her love for medicine,” said Keleher.

The Atlantis Project is backed by the American Medical Student Association and takes place at several locations throughout Spain and in the Azores Islands of Portugal.
