FYTS welcomes new faculty member

Jen Wells, director of assessment in the Office of Institutional Effectiveness (OIE),  joined the Department of First-Year and Transition Studies (FYTS) as a jointly appointed tenure-track faculty member between FYTS and OIE. 

 

While Wells’ administrative workload resides primarily in OIE, the FYTS Department will serve as her academic home, where she will teach sections of the first-year seminar.  Given her expertise in assessment, she will also play a role in the assessment efforts within the FYTS Department.  “We are delighted that Jen Wells has joined our department,” said FYTS chair, Ruth Goldfine. “She will be a valuable resource to the department as we revise and update our assessment plans.  I am pleased that we were invited to participate in her joint appointment.”
