The "Everybody's a Fan" learning community students experienced this year's Dragon*Con Parade on September 3.

"Our LC, ‘Everybody's a Fan,’ is themed around fandoms -- movies, books, and television. The students had to interview other parade attendees as part of a bigger assignment that is integrated into both classes: KSU 1101 and AMST 1102," said Tyler Pede, instructor of First-Year and Transition Studies.

​The theme “fandoms” is centered on the important role the objects of our fandom play in our lives and how fandom can be applied to college success and life in general.

“We wanted to give the students a first-hand experience with fandoms. They interview other parade attendees for a project, and it's an opportunity for the class to bond," said Pede.
