Leven School director serves as Brian Jordan Center for Excellence and professional development chair and board member

The KSU Brian Jordan Center for Excellence and Professional Development at LakePoint held its inaugural board meeting on Friday, Feb 5. Leven School director, Christian Hardigree, serves as a board member for this Center as well as the chair of its program committee.

"When I first met Brian a few years ago, I admired his commitment as a mentor and role model for young adults, and I was excited by his vision for expanding programming in the community.  It is an honor and privilege to implement that vision, and humbling to work with the amazingly talented leaders on the board and the committed individuals engaged in the partnership,” said Hardigree.

The Center was founded in 1998 by Brian Jordan, a professional athlete best known for building a multi-sport legacy (All-Star player with the Atlanta Braves and All-Pro with the Atlanta Falcons) and as an Emmy award-winning sports analyst for FOX Sports South and recurring broadcast personality for Comcast Sports South and ESPN.  His Center is dedicated to helping children strive for their full potential. The mission of his non-profit organization is to provide useful information, resources, and tools to help and support young people and their families.

The Brian Jordan Foundation’s educational program awards scholarships to deserving young people. Through a three-core program model, which includes literacy, health and fitness, and scholarships, Foundation is successful in building stronger young people and helping them achieve their full potential.

Other KSU members who serve on the board include Dr. Dan Papp, Charles Ross, and Yuri Feito.
